Phillip Gilmore is Managing Director at Vincents Solicitors. He set up Vincents in 2000 with his original partner, Alan Vincent. Phillip is a Litigation Specialist.

Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Phillip initially qualified as a Quantity Surveyor before returning to Lancaster University to read Law.

Phillip began his professional training to become a Solicitor in 1997. In 2000, he joined Alan Vincent, a senior partner at Inghams Solicitors at the time, to establish Vincents Solicitors.

Starting with only three employees in their first office in Garstang, Vincents has seen tremendous growth both organically and through acquisition. Today, Vincents is a multi-discipline practice with offices spread across the North West and an exceptional team of 120 staff dedicated to looking after our clients, both local and international.

Phillip is now the managing partner and, in addition to all his day to day managerial responsibilities, he maintains a full case load and is very much hands-on in the practice. Phillip’s legal expertise includes dealing with all manner of complex general litigation, building construction and engineering disputes, serious and catastrophic injury cases including spinal and brain injury cases, and contractual disputes in both businesses and individuals, for both Claimants and Defendant, as well as debt recovery. The nature of his work often includes cases issued out of the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Phillip also enjoys the Commercial and Business Development side of the business and has been the main lead in many of the firm’s growth and change initiatives over the past 24 years.
