If you are separating but don’t want a divorce, what can you do?
For some couples, they can no longer live together or be in a marriage together, and they decide to separate but they don’t want to divorce.
In these situations, the best course of action is to enter into a Separation Agreement that both parties are happy with. Each party still provides full and frank disclosure of their financial circumstances. Once exchanged, the terms of the financial settlement can be agreed upon, and a Separation Agreement can be entered into. This agreement not only sets out the terms of the financial agreement but can also set out the arrangements for the children and any future divorce proceedings.
