Fracture Guide
Our medical negligence team have put together the Fracture Guide below and are here to help you with the different types of fracture claims:
Comminuted Fractures
These are fractures that occur by severe force, where the bone splinters and shatters into more than 2 pieces.
Delayed Union Fractures
These are fractures where the bones are taking longer than normal to heal.
Greenstick Fractures
These fractures usually occur in children as their bones are still normally soft. They splinter but do not break in two, usually caused by acute, sudden force.
Mal-union Fractures
These fractures heal incorrectly and out of alignment.
Non-union Fractures
These fractures do not heal.
Oblique Fractures
These are fractures that are not only broken across the bone but also at an angle.
Spiral Fractures
These are fractures that create an oblique fracture through and around the bone.
Transverse Fractures
These are fractures that occur when the bone is broken straight across.
Union Fractures
This is the healing of the fracture fragments of the bone.

Clear Advice Feels Better
Clear Advice Feels Better
Good morning Tracy,
I would like to say a massive thank you to you for all your support and communication throughout the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact you again if I ever need any further assistance and certainly would recommend the firm.
I chose Vincents Solicitors because of the locality and the nice things that you do for the community and charity.
Again thank you so much.
Yours Sincerely
Clear Advice Feels Better
I’m writing to thank you and your entire law firm for all of your hard work throughout my case.
Throughout the time we worked together, everyone at your law firm was kind, patient, and supportive. My hectic university schedule made it difficult for me to respond quickly, so your team was sure to email me every time there was a new development.
I cannot thank you enough for the amazing treatment you gave me. I hope that our paths should never have to cross again (no more broken bones for me!), but if they do, I’m confident your hard work and determination will make my case a breeze.
